If there were a word I’d use to describe how I feel towards the internet, it would have to be “reliant.” Simply put, I’m a technology geek that just simply can’t get enough. But what’s wrong with people these days? I should start a trend and make people jump on the bandwagon of being cool because you can admit to your nerdiness rather than denying it, which all of you do.
I’m Zachary Quinto, and damn are you proud to see me. No really, I’d like to think of myself as the modest and selfless type, but I guess you’d just have to find out for yourself. My mother always tells me to never let my ego get bigger than my head, which is in fact pretty large, so I think it’s safe to say I’m well grounded.
Speaking of my good ol’ mamma, she is basically at fault for all the things that I am today, in a good way. After all, my father’s passing when I was barely seven years old left it down to her to raise me alone. I always poked fun when she tried to attempt doing things with me that only a father would do with their son, but it was just as good. I grew up in Green Tree, Pennsylvania and attended a couple of different grade schools along the way before graduating high school in 1995. I hardly knew what to expect after graduating Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama and was nothing less than absolutely terrified with the acting world staring me right back in the face.
But things looked up quite quickly. I’d never pictured myself guest starring on some television shows like CSI, Touched By an Angel, Lizzie McGuire, and other forgettable shows not worth mentioning. Kidding, they really are such a great memory and I’d never trade those experiences for anything.
Starring on the Heroes series since 2006 has been nothing but a dream come true for me. I know I speak among the rest of the cast when I say that we look back on the show with such immense pride and glee. And God, who wouldn’t appreciate playing a role where they’re broadcasted eating people’s brains week in and week out? The reactions I get from people on the street are priceless, and I’m nothing less than amused every time my mother reaches her two fingers out in front of her and telekinetically cuts my head off. An avid watcher, she is!
Words can not express how ecstatic I am at the fact that I'm playing the next Spock in the Star Trek movie. I have always been a fan, and just the thought of playing a role with such a legacy still to this day boggles my mind. I hope I can contribute at least half of what Star Trek means to the long-time fans.
There’s not much more to say except that I’m a huge people fan, I’d love to get to know all of you, and you all better watch the show or I’ll have one more brain to look forward to!
